Innovation Indicator Across Statesinfo
Introduction
This dashboard presents State/UT level aggregation of some important parameters that were studied.
Click on a State/UT to highlight its boundary; click again to restore map.
Here percentage of innovative firms within a State/UT, which responded as "Yes" for a parameter is represented by color intensity of the state as per the legend.
The parameter itself is mentioned in title of the map, and can be changed using right button titled "Customize" on top-right of the dashboard.
The left dropdown on top-right of dashboard provides option to switch scale of color distribution into either Equal Count or Equal Interval.
As the name suggests, Equal Interval divides the range of percentage, which is [0, 100] into eight (here) equal intervals.
Similarly, Equal Count divides the values for all States into eight (equal) count groups, thereby helping in ranking states.
Thus, Equal Interval represents absolute value of parameter, whereas Equal Count represents relative ranking w.r.t. parameter.
So color distribution is more uniform in Equal Count scale.

✝The survey was carried out during 2010-11, so States formed during or after the period are not treated separately. States/UTs covered in the survey are represented in the map. This map is just a representative of State/UT boundaries for illustration purpose, and it may not show the exact State/UT boundaries.
